Travel Team

 

Player Registration Fee:
Registration fees help pay for practice facility time, a reversible practice jersey, team bag and tournaments. Team sweatsuits, socks, and other apparel are optional and the responsibility of the player. The current registration fee for the Spring/Summer Travel Team Session is $410/player. There are different fees for the Fall (Sept-Oct) and Winter (Nov-Jan) Sessions.  All fees are subject to change.

WHY TWIN HOOPS ELITE?
TWIN Hoops Elite is dedicated to teaching good sportsmanship, discipline, team work and good character to players who bring a willingness to learn, improve and flourish. T.H.E. cares about each players development and wants all players to have fun and enjoy themselves in a safe environment. We are a close-knit, cohesive and comprehensive organization that cares about each player from the youngest to the oldest.

HOW DO I PLAY FOR A TWIN HOOPS ELITE TEAM?
Formal tryout are conducted for each grade category. Tryouts for teams are typically held in February. We hold tryouts for both current and new participants looking to play with us. We do make cuts.

HOW LONG IS THE SESSION?
In general, the Spring/Summer runs from March to July. We also may have a Fall Season (September-October) and a Winter Season (November-January).

DO THE PLAYERS WEAR UNIFORMS?
Yes. All TWIN Hoops Elite Teams wear official T.H.E. apparel at all times while representing the organization. Game uniforms are provided by the organization.

WHAT TYPE OF SCHEDULE DOES A TWIN HOOPS ELITE TEAM PLAY?
The schedule is determined by each team's coach. In general, the teams play twice a month or more and travel locally and regionally (VA, NC, MD). It may also include Regional and National Championship play for AAU and/or NTBA tournaments. Players (parents/guardians) are responsible for transportation to and from competition site(s).

HOW MANY PRACTICE DAYS PER WEEK ARE THERE?
Teams will practice twice a week, typically on Monday's and Wednesday's (subject to change). Practices last about 1.5 hours to 2 hours. Players (parents/guardians) are responsible for transportation to and from practice.
